Canon SLR Cameras

I’m not that much of a camera whiz, but I’ve outgrown my point and shoot powershot camera. I pretty much mastered it. Took great action shots with what limited options I had to work with, but its really time to step it up!
I need something I can take action shots of quads and portrait/action shots of horses.
I’ve really been torn between these two cameras. The Xsi and the 50D. I would really like to hear everyone opinions on these two styles of cameras.

I want to get into photography but i have no clue on which lense to start with. I am mainly going to be shooting people pictures like portraits and out doors. I want to know what are good lense to start with and are not really that expensive. No more than $150

The lens that comes with it is the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens.
I am looking at two different lenses as a second set. Which one is better zoom and quality wise?
Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Zoom Lens
Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Autofocus Lens

A section of the mirror damper foam broke away. I live in far northwest Minnesota and nowhere near a Camera repair store. If someone can suggest a good replacemet material an a replacemet method I would be grateful. And NO, I wont go back to digital!

I decided to buy the Canon XTI SLR but I need help with what kind of lens should I Buy for it? I’d like to take great mountain outdoor photos and portraits of people.

I’m purchasing a remote control for my boyfriends, Digital SLR Canon Rebel Camera. Looking online I’ve come across different models from Canon, and generic remotes that can be used for different makes of camera? If someone happens to have this camera or just knows about SLR’s in general, please give me an idea of what I need to get. I’m oping to purchase off ebay, it’s usually cheapest. Thanks.

I have a Digital 350D Canon SLR camera and need a lens for doing internal house photos - often I find it difficult to get the entire room in sufficiently with the lens that came with it.
Can anyone offer any advice on what I need as im completely clueless!
